Pours a light golden color with a barely-there white head. Sugary aroma. Flavor is very nondescript up front with some nasty metallic flavor in the finish. Feels extremely thin and watery. Why the hell is this rated so high??

Bottle. So, the same week that Unibroue gets bought by Sleeman, this stuff shows up in Vermont...coincidence? I think not. I think this is a harbinger of what we have to look forward to. Pale, exceedingly clear lightly bubbly apple juice body, little head. Very very faint corn syrup/urinal cake aroma, yum yum! Sweet and syrupy on the tongue, rather like flattish lemon-lime soda, a bit of metallic bitterness at the end. Drinkable I guess, not really nasty, but flavorless enough that it really isn't much better than a drain pour.

Gold coloured, mild aroma with a bit of a prick. Tastes like a light beer with a tinge of ginger and spruce. Gives it a soda-like illusion, and yet does not have the carbonation equal to a soda. I would have rated the overall lower but the spruce taste gives it an originality I admire.

This is the second or third time I sampled UCB's lager the other times it was on tap but the low carbonation of this bottled offereing puts it in that catagory for smoothness. This is,essentially, a premium mass produced Canadian lager. The fact it hasn't the mega brew over carbonation scores a point with me. Is it head and shoulders above Molson's, Labatt's lagers? Well, yes and no....it is better than their national brands.....it is on par and better than many of their local brands. At any rate, this beer is easy enough to take with big brewer lager characteristics and a good process that makes it a pub beer indistinct from others. Pours a darker straw color with a 1 finger cap that lasts about half way through the drink. Aromas of grains and malt with slight wisp of hopping. Starts crisp then sits with a light body of bready-grain tastes,,,slight twang of hop then finishes clean with a very light malt after taste. . It isn't overly distinct in my mind but it is a good quality lager every lager drinker should sample. I'll never turn one of these down if it’s offered

got it for 4.99 at winn-dixie in florida. blue label now. hey at least it's better than bud. smelled like a beer. clear yellow in color with a small head that lasted about 45 seconds. refreshing to drink but no body, no hop and a little sweet malt taste that saved it. Left a wierd aftertaste. for the price it's not bad.

Pours a light amber colour with a white creamy head. Scents of malts and honey. Slight taste of honey. Caramel and malt. The palate is creamy with lingering malts and hops.

Lovely lager, I actually enjoyed it though I'm no lager fan. Great way to forget that Rebellion Lager in the "Selections" pack.

Light yellow color with a fizzy white head. Grain and grass aroma. Light malt and hint of vanilla in the flavor. Weird tasting, another Sleeman mess.
