Body is golden in colour, with a decent sized white head. Aroma is grainy and hops. Very bitter taste, and some cereal corn flavours, but mostly hops bitterness above all. COuld use some more flavour notes. Nice bite on the tounge and palate overall. A decent brew. beanmedic (324), Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

Moderately hoppy. So far this is my favourite of the Upper Canada brews, it’s actually quite nice and I wouldn’t turn it down if someone offered me one :) dirkules (613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

MALTS! Yeah, it’s worth giving this a try. Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 16, 2004 Has a pickley, pond-water like aroma, with some heavy alcohol accents. Dark golden appearance with a thick soapy white head. Has a slight biscuity taste to it with some underlying caramel sweetness to it. Has bit of a tangy mouthfeel to it. Not altogether bad. Alcohol makes itself a little too evident considering it is only 6%. Aurelius (2652), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Strongly hopped and crackery, light sweetness, some yeasty-dough stuff going on. Finishes like it tastes. Sturdy body. Refreshing and not half bad. Crockett (904), Steelback County, Ontario, Canada

Earthy and peppery with a light hop floral nose. Roasty but really green in the bitter area. Robust bready. But then the cheap sweet corn and malt liqour flavours creep in. It’s just bitter enough in the finish to save it. Still, it’s pretty good for U.C..
