Jun 23, 2004 Creamy, sweet lager aroma. Somewhat cloudy in appearance with an off-white ehad. Not much head or lace. Good visible carbonation floats upwards. Solid alcohol presence; wants to be a bock but is still a lager. Not bad; just not that interesting.

May 22, 2004 This full glass that stands before me will remain full. One sip proved to me that import/mirco brewing is
for some not all. Couldn’t finish it, taste lasted sooo long.
Had to chase with domestic brew. Please if you rate this higher than me seek help. No redeeming qualities.

May 22, 2004 Large starting head is quickly gone. Dark gold, crisp and clear. More alcohol than hops in the aroma. Warm alcohol and hop flavour with a nice malty body. Alcohol and mild bitterness in the finish. Alcohol is noticeable without being overblown. Malt and hops let you know you have a beer at hand. Thanks to Tupalev.

May 10, 2004 Probably my favourite of the Upper Canada Line up, although this was better in my mind than when I tried it on the weekend. Strong alcohol taste, although balanced rather nicely in this assertive lager. Slight hops in aroma, although I couldn’t place them, and a nice bite in the aftertaste, but the whole package seems a little blander than I remember. Perhaps I am recalling the old Rebellion Ale that used to be in the product line.

May 9, 2004 some sweet malt in a crisp refreshing initial swallow.. That’s it. Sour Bad breath aftertaste. Hint of some apple and spice. Little hops of course.

May 2, 2004 Clear golden colour with a small & persistant white head. Aroma is sweet, spicey and slightly yeasty. Strong malt in the flavour, with a sweet backbone, leading to a dry and fleetingly hopped finish. The only interesting beer left in the Upper Canada line-up.

Apr 30, 2004 Once again, thanks to Lubiere. Nice golden clear color with a white head. Clean malty aroma. Malty flavor and obviously maltier than the others from this brewery. Perhaps the best of the bunch. And still no hops.
