Upright Turkey On Rye

Tasted at the Brewpublic anniversary event at Saraveza. Was told that this batch had Brett added to it, in addiiton to the chocolate/chili. The most overwhelming aspect was the clashing of light sourness with mild chilis. We didn’t get any chocolate out of it at all. This is a love it or hate it type of beer, and I hated it. Neither my friend nor I could get through half our pints. Adventurous for sure, but no thanks.

Poured from a growler filled at Upriight... Poured brownish with a tan head. Grains on the nose with a yeasty sourness (brett?). Oaky and dark rye and malts. Sweet and sugary like cookie dough, and a little tart. The chili didn’t influence the flavor too much, just provided a little heat towards the end.
