Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with spicy notes, and so is the flavor. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of pepsican. Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with a tall and lively dense yellowish head leaving laces. Spicy, fruity and vanilla-like aroma. Quite full-bodied, fruity and vanilla-like with a very solid and distinct bitterness. 311008

Tasting at Papsoe, corked bottle
Hazy red-amber color. The aroma is light, it has a strong caramel flavor, some residual sweetness, strong nutty character, strong bitterness; strong but not interesting for me, not even a Barley Wine IMO.

(750ml bottle) Pours a lightly hazy amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of cherry, raisins, caramel, and toasted bread. Flavor of caramel malt, hops (floral, herbal, grassy), some pepper, and light cherry.

Bottle at the RBSG grand tasting on 6/23/07: Pours a transparent golden bronze with a thin wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet doughy pale malt with a touch of earthy bread and corn. Starts fairly full and caramely sugar sweet with some earthy piny bittering hop presence toward a peppery slightly alcoholic finish. An ok barleywine, but needs more balance.

A deep brown copper colored brew with a large light khaki head. The aroma has lots of sweet caramel and peaches. There are also some leathery hints. The taste is very sweet with some leather and alcohol. There is also some white peach character. This is lightly spiced with black pepper and wood in the finish. Decent, but seems a little sloppy.
