grimreeser (795), Minnesota, USA Apr 26, 2009 Reddish amber with a decent head. Caramel and citrus hop aroma. Solid bitterness. More like a pale ale. topherh (878), Kearney, Missouri, USA Jan 18, 2009 Poured brownish amber with a beige head. Citrus hops and sweet malty aroma. Flavor is bitter hops with a very dry finish. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Oct 7, 2008 Tap at the brewpub. The body was dark amber with a lightly off white head. The aroma was grapefruit and almonds. Not much to hold onto though. The taste was light grapefruit and almond, but light. This had little to no malt backbone. Drinkable, but boring. tomciccateri (496), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA Aug 18, 2008 Draught, pours a dense dark amber with a thick tan head. Light-to-medium body, slightly dry malty flavor where hop bitterness comes through, as does the Cascade dry-hopping. tjthresh (1746), Greenfield, Indiana, USA May 5, 2008 On tap the the 2008 Parkville Microbrewers Festival. Pour was hazy copper with a dirty white head. Balanced aroma with biscuit, honey, and earth. Same with the flavor. Medium/light body. Average carbonation. Bone dry. Very average. MIBRomeo (1962), Wisconsin, USA Oct 3, 2005 golden color nice white head some lacing. Crisp grapefruit and orange aroma some carmel. Full bodied oily palate. Smooth but bitter citrus and grass w/ light carmel. Another well done IPA. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Mar 21, 2005 GABF ’04 Light golden in color with a small white head. Moderate hops, thin and not very assertively bitter. RateandPillage (417), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jan 3, 2005 Very underhopped for an IPA. Much thinner and less hoppy than the Double IPA that it is billed as. As with many of Upstream’s beers, I think this one used to be better.
