Commercial Description:
Our version of this traditional British beer is a golden-colored ale that is full-bodied and refreshing, with a bold hoppy finish.
(Try a "Hoppy Marriage," a blissful blend of India Pale Ale and Firehouse ESB. One of our house favorites.)

Semi-active amber and clear. Nice floral aroma. Robust-enough grapefruit flavor. Sweet and tart with an OK malt underpinning. A stock IPA, but this is among the best they offer at Upstream.

golden color nice white head some lacing. Crisp grapefruit and orange aroma some carmel. Full bodied oily palate. Smooth but bitter citrus and grass w/ light carmel. Another well done IPA.

Reddish amber with a decent head. Caramel and citrus hop aroma. Solid bitterness. More like a pale ale.

GABF 2003: Clear deep yellow color, flowery hops aroma, average body, ends lightly bitter without anything backing it up.

Draught, pours a dense dark amber with a thick tan head. Light-to-medium body, slightly dry malty flavor where hop bitterness comes through, as does the Cascade dry-hopping.

Tap at the brewpub. The body was dark amber with a lightly off white head. The aroma was grapefruit and almonds. Not much to hold onto though. The taste was light grapefruit and almond, but light. This had little to no malt backbone. Drinkable, but boring.

GABF ’04 Light golden in color with a small white head. Moderate hops, thin and not very assertively bitter.

The very first beer that I tasted at the 2003 GABF. Only because Joe really wanted to get the state of New Hampshire in his ratings. So here it is, the state of NH representing at GABF! Mild IPA with little hops. Very drinkable with slight citrus tastes. Slightly acidic but mild IPA at best.
