Bov (4659), Bienne, Switzerland Apr 25, 2008 pale golden colour with a white foam; fresh herbal aroma with notes of plastic; fizzy and medium-bodied with a pronounced bitterness; quite long herbal finish - a very decent beer
oh6gdx (6332), Vaasa, Finland Sep 30, 2008 Bottled@SBWF2008 (thanks to the same person I changed the hue/maccabee with, this time half this for half of bati beer). Pale yellowish golden colour, medium white fluffy head, which disappears quite fast. Aroma is grains, saltwater and mild notes of rubber. Flavour is harsh grass with some mild hops, malts. Ends quite strangely sweet. rwgould (51), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Sep 24, 2008 0.5l can. Tried while in Cluj. Clear, golden yellow with foamy head that did not linger. Aroma is strong and bland. Quite bitter to start and then gets sweet. Palate is watery. Good candidate for making an Alsterwasser. drpimento (518), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Sep 20, 2008 This is from a can I brought back from Romania a couple of months ago and kept chilled. Very commonly found there in the 7 cities I visited. Poured with some head and lace. Standard pale yellow color. Almost no aroma, only a faint beery nose. Very carbonated. Thin and watery. Forgettable finish. "nough said. Oakes (6973), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 20, 2008 Bright golden with a fairly thick head. Herbal, pear-like hop nose with notes of straw and (clover?) honey. Fairly bland palate, some strawlike malts, hint of herbal hops. Bitterness is pretty low with an off-dry finish. Beershine (1440), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 19, 2008 @ Radek’s. Pissy yellow with big white head. Totally clear. Not the greatest color but nice head and leaves some scattered lacing. Dry aroma has some depth and character and baguette qualities as well as straightforward dryness. High carbonation, fizzy mouthfeel. Goes down well and is thin. Finishes thin and slightly sweet with some surprising depth.
