Spice, yeast and pepper are present on the nose. Tasted of vanilla, alcohol (too prevalent throughout) and spicy again. A6 A3 F7 P4 OV15 3.3 Bottle from a bottle shop in Edinburgh, 20-03-09 consumed 24-03-09 Was convinced that I hadn’t had this before and only when I’ve just logged on that I realised I had, but hey that serves me right for not having an electronic gadget to do a quick scan before purchasing. Was pleased that my rating was remarkably consistent with the previous one of eighteen months ago though. Pours hazy golden in colour, slightly boozy nose with spices and yeast waffting off also, but its the alcohol that lingers the longest. Taste is very warming mainly due to the alcohol, there are touches of nutmeg amongst the spices, its a touch sweet but alcohol is evident throughout, despite this its still a likeable beer.
