| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 11, 2006 [Bottle] Spicy, a bit fruity, high carbonation, light body, some sweetness with some unexpected "dark" notes (chocolate, liquorice)... up to now (I still have totaste the strongest one) the most convincing beer of the range chimaybier (52), Redding, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 8, 2006 Bottle purchased at Perry’s Liquors- Livermore, CA. Indeed, it does have a airy, large head that collapses quickly. Bouquet: Buttery caramel, and fruity. Palate: carbonation hits the tongue immediately. The taste is peppery, almost a "Poire Williams" accent with a dryness that fills your entire mouth. It’s a good ’dry" tripel. Food pairings: Chinese, Japanese, and of course Mussels and Frites! 1FastSTi (2560), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 3, 2006 Bottle via John’s Grocery. The beer was really annoying to pour. Mostly head. A VERY airy off-white head sits atop this champagne body. Man, there’s carbonation everywhere! A very thin looking golden body. The aroma is boozy lemons and pears, sweet apples, caramel, and honeysuckle. The flavor is peppery yeasts, very ripe pears, some other white fruits, caramel, subtle bubblegum. The palate is extremely carbonated. Good texture, however. The carbonation bite and noticeable alcohol limits this beer a lot. CharlesDarwin (1846), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 12, 2006 Gushingly carbonated. Fuming tower of creamy off-white over a pyre of gently tinted golden. Aroma of phenolic lemon fruits and garden flowers. Flavor is a lucious sweet candied lemon rind, peppered with Grains of Paradise, coriander and juniper. It’s redolent with savory herbs and sweeping light caramels. Drawn out yeast notes play into a realm of light choppy bitterness notes, with some balance. As with the style, a touch of cloying qualities. A quite respectable, delicious and well-built Tripel. Needs some nuanced character. BeerDude78 (87), Denville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 6, 2006 Has a golden haze, with hints of fruits with a slightly hoppy aftertaste. Has a slight alcohol bite aftertaste but balances out fairly well.
