Apple, alcohol, some yeast and sweetness in the aroma. The flavor har hints of spices and hops, and green apples. Bubbly, a bit too thin mouthfeel with lots of alcohol in the finish. Rating: 7-4-8-4-15-3.8. 060801
Bottle, 75cl corked. It pours a massive, dense, white head over a slighlty hazy golden body with some floaties and good carbonation. Fruity nose with a good dash of banana and some citrus. Pale malts, alcohol and some spices too. Medium, warming mouthfeel. The flavor has an appropriate bitterness, else it’s pretty much like the aroma. Lasting bitter finish. A bit on the warming side, at least if it’s the first beer of the day, but tasteful and pleasing. 091129 beerbuzzmontreal (2921), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Very appealing aroma of doughy, peppery yeast with citrus and spices. The flavor is pretty solid with the same doughy and peppery yeast, citrus and spices. The body has a light to medium thickness with a creamy texture and lively carbonation. A very pleasant and well made tripel. iowaherkeye (1873), Los Angeles, California, USA

Aroma is dusty, bananas, citrus, Belgian yeast, and spicy hops. Flavor is quite sour (a little too much), with pretty much all the other aromas in the taste. Spicy finish. Alcohol is well covered, full bodied, very well carbonated, as most tripels are. brew4all (102), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 13, 2006 Bottle at Opal’s in Austin. Hazed gold, creamy white head. As it warmed quickly in the 100 degree temp (outside air), the nose was filled with funky citrus tones, banana, old musty bread, and faint butterscotch. Flavor really opened up as well with lots of spicy banana, citrus, and bready tones. Had a nice abbey ale character throughout that led to a concluding soft hop bitterness. Balanced without a doubt, and the ABV was well hidden. Full bodied, soft carbonation, bittersweet, fruity finish. Got much more then expected. Not a huge tripel fan, but this one really hit the spot... tenghave (402), Taastrup, Denmark
