Fraught yellow color, decidedly torbid with presence of sediment. Good fizz. Compact and resistant head, good total duration. Leaven and wine cellar scent with light must and spice notes. Determined and alcoholic taste, enough sweet at the beginning with agreeable notes of white grape. Enough long-lasting end. JoeMcPhee (5030), Jackson Heights, New York, USA

750 ml corked and caged. Very cloudy pale orange beer. Fast-fading white head. Spicy and yeasty aroma, with brown bread, melon, clove, mint and white pepper appearing. A bit of brown sugar and peachy fruitiness as well. Flavour is quite complex and tasty. Sweet and fruity up front with peach, apple and pear-like esters followed by bubble gum, clove and pepper all making an appearance. Soft texture with a lightly malty backbone. Minty hop flavour on the finish. Warming also brings out sweet floral and honeyish notes. Soft textured with some nice biscuity finish. This beer has a tasty balance of fruit and spice. I wouldn’t exactly call this a triple, but I would call it excellent. GG (1665), NorCal, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Feb 2, 2006 Very interesting beer!! Aroma is part brown sugar, flowers, pears, melon, white pepper, and some wierd mustiness going on. Incredible! Light-medium gold/orange color, this beer just shines in the glass. Fluffly head with small bubbled carbonation. Taste is malty, peppery, and spicy and an underlying sweetness. It’s like it dances on your tongue. Finish is spicy, leafy and some sort of fruity that’s just barely detectable. A very different triple, but if you find it quickly get it. You won’t be disappointed. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

Nose of pears, tropical fruits, and yeasty bread dough. Flavor is light and crisp with fruit, and earth with a sharp sour bite in the finish(perhaps from alcohol and hops). Very nice beer for 9% and a good value for the price I paid. ($6.79) I need to age some an try it in a year or so. TheBeerNinja (137), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 22, 2006 Pours a slightly cloudy golden with a thin white head that lingers. Nose is fruity and a little sour with some alcohol notes. Flavor is light and crisp with some tropical fruits and some sourness. There is a little bit of alcohol warmth in the finish. A decent beer but certainly not urthel’s best offering. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 19, 2006 Normal smeel and appearance for a tripel, but above par in flavor. Huge head is a little bit too dry to be outstanding, but it tastes almost exactly like the beer. A little heavier than you’d expect. The only real downside to this beer is that I drank it with Thai food. It does not go well with Thai food.
