Strong aroma of noble hops and Belgian candi sugars and a bittering yeast note with some alcohol. Strong tripe flavor, malty, fruity, and yeasty... the hops are not so extreme. Pretty straight forward with present alcohol. Lighter bodied with plenty of fizzy carbonation that isn’t bothersome as it can be in many Belgians. I prefer houblon. topherh (940), Kearney, Missouri, USA

Aroma is light floral hops, ripe fruit, and belgian yeast. Flavor is sweet malt and belgian yeast at first, the hop bitterness shows up in the finish. rederic (1811), montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 9, 2008 Hazy honey gold hue, with a big frothy white head, leaving some laces, yeasty, fruity nose of pears, peaches and apricots, with a lemon citrusy floral hop accent, with a faint grassiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, honeyed pale malt character, when the beer gets warmer, it becomes more flowery within a hop citrusy, leading towards a fruity, leafy hop bitterness finish. acearl (218), J-Town, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a clear golden orange hue, minimal white lacing sustains, thick lacing on the glass
Smell is Belgian yeast, sweet honey, light fruits, and lemony citrus hops, fairly subtle for an IPA
Taste is cotton candy and Belgian yeast initially, followed by citrus, light fruits and grassy hops, sweet malts, peppery spices, pine resin, finishes with alcohol and dry bitterness
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, slick and oily texture, moderate carbonation
Drinkability is moderate, a well-balanced IPA that is a little light on the the hop presence and bordering on cloying sweetness, the Belgian aspect is a unique twist on the style, overall a solid but unremarkable beer Homer321 (127), Rockledge, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 21, 2008 Poured from a corked belgain bottle. I was really expecting more hops after examining the label. nose shows signs of sugars, expected of a belgian. Hops are obviously more than traditional belgains and slightly spicy. Ignoring the label and just drinking this beer, it is one good beer.
