Yeasty nose with some light fruitiness. Flavor starts with a short shot of lemon thats quickly overcome by a dirty, earthy hop flavor and a tinge of Lysol and some Earl Grey tea. Finishes kind of dry. Loved this the first time I had it but I haven’t had a really good bottle since. gmonroe10 (172), Netherlands
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 27, 2007 A golden with white fluffy head...tastes of hops (not exceedingly so) and a tinge of yeast (it is bottle conditioned). Enjoyable, and a dry sensation CapFlu (3491), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Appearance: Golden in color with a half inch of white creamy head. The head dissipates leaving a spotty lacing.
Smell: There are yeasty aromas as this beer warms, with hints of fruit and a floral smell from the hops. There are also smells of grain and caramel.
Taste: I found banana, yeast, clove, alcohol warmth, as well as a slight pineyness of hops in the finish. Not as hoppy as the name would suggest, but still present.
Mouthfeel: I found it to be medium bodied, a little thinner than I might have liked, but not far off.
Drinkability: Quite drinkable, enjoyed all that I had and will probably be coming back to this one in the future. mar (1944), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 21, 2007 Bottle from Drunken Geers. Gold with thick off white head. Very Belgian, very hoppy. On the XX Bitter/Hommelbirer lines, but the additional alcohol gives it a syrupy sweetness. Aggressive hop finish. Lacks a bit of subtlety. Nice though. Bov (5508), Bienne, Switzerland
