| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 2, 2007 This beer had a thick, beautiful head that didn’t dissipate until the very last drop. The aroma reminded me of a great hefeweizen. There definitely is some complexity to this one. It’s almost like drinking 2 different beers at the same time. It begins as a spicy, silky belgain blonde, and finishes like an IPA. A moderate hops bitterness in the finish, and dangerously drinkable to be 9.5%. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 28, 2007 Bottle: Hazy golden pour with a huge frothy white blanket of head. Aroma is bright and mildly lemony. Has a Belgian yeast character, along with a saaz hint/bright citrus peel notes. The flavor is fairly sweet. Has a light musty yeast flavor upfront (that distinct Koninghoeven house yeast) There’s some bright lemon zest and a sweet alcohol presence as well. The hop character is smooth and flowery into the bitterish finish. Simple, but tasty and quaffable. swanmann (309), Norman, Oklahoma, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 27, 2007 head gets a 10! Foamy and sustained. The color is hazy pale and golden. Heavy aroma of citrus rinds and alcohol. Sweet and yeasty. The flavor is very sweet and acidic. Undeniable hop bitterness played perfectly against sweet and sour. KnutAlbert (3149), Oslo, Norway
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 26, 2007 Bottle from Bier Tempel, which was not as flashy as the one picktured here.
Belgian blonde with lovely grassy hops added. Imperial Belgian?
Wonderful play between fruit, sweetness, sourness and dryness. Yummy! BigMilly8 (376), Holiday, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 24, 2007 From bottle : Pours a cloudy blonde with tons of carbonation and a nice full foamy white head that has good staying power. Slight floral hops on the nose, joined by some spices and and citrus perhaps, kinda sour smelling. Spice and weird yeast and bread on the flavor, not to crazy about it. Pretty much not presents of hops in the taste, nor any bitterness. Palate is medium and very lively with carbonation and bubbles. I dont really know about this one, its not my favorite thats for sure. But drinkable to an extent. mistersinalin (378), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 22, 2007 Strain the particulate if you must, but this is a good beer. the Americans still dominate the hop beer market, but this one is worth a try. Clear and golden, it brings a nice head and nice hop. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2007 The beer literally explodes out of this bottle. I had to put it in the sink for about 10 minutes until it settled. Pours hazy gold with a thick, white, rocky head. Peppery hops with spice and grass. Very floral. More spice and yeasty funkiness in the taste. Light malt with some sticky fruit and hops in the finish. Strange but refreshingly different as a Belgian outlook on an IPA. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
