| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 14, 2007 Light amber color, full bubbly white head. Nose is more belgian ale then IPA. Alot of fruit: bananas, apricots, summer florals. No noticeable hoppiness in the aroma. Hops are most evident on the tongue. Alot of spice and bite with a dry, somewhat bitter finish. No bad, but not what I expected. Perm (151), Tryon, North Carolina, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 12, 2007 Nose: fresh grass, spicy floral hops, honey, and leather.
It would be easy to drink a lot of this and go crazy. Urthel Hop-It has that oddly addictive quality that many of the finer Belgian ales possess, in my book.
80 IBUs, but very drinkable. The bitterness waits until the finish. Try with duck sausage, sauteed cabbage and sweet potato gnocchi Bartzilla (443), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 10, 2007 A very pleasant IPA, from Belgium. Better than I had thought it would be. Could possibly defeat Chouffe Houblon as the predominant Belgian IPA. Love the blend of Belgian golden yeast flavorings with that little hemp bite at the end. This will do you solid. nuplastikk (1206), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 10, 2007 11.2oz bottle. Light golden color, with a creamy and rich head. Nothing thats going to shock anyone familiar with west coast IPAs hop-wise. It is quite enjoyable, however. Very well balanced and drinkable for a beer of 9.5%. Nice hoppy aftertaste. Slightly sweet and dry. Definite spicy tastes and aroma, unsure if they actually add any. Great beer. Beerlando (2341), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 9, 2007 Lightly hazy, tangerine-gold body with tons of carbonation. A thick, snow white blanket of foam sticks around for ages at the head. Microfilm lace blankets the glass. The aroma is very light, crisp, and hoppy. Acidic fruit juices, like orange, lemon, and white grape show strongly up front. Very light, toasty malts add a yeasty, bready sweetness, while cream lends a smoothing, chiffon-like quality. The hoppy scents are an interesting blend of citrus and floral. Flavors follow suit exactly. A sweet, yeasty, toasty malt base lays the groundwork for bitter citrus hops. Its very creamy. Medium bodied, smooth, and lightly syrupy. Very easy drinking for a big beer. Pretty solid. armando629 (997), Budapest, Hungary
