Aroma of hop flowers and wet bread. Fruity Belgian wheat ale taste with a noticable bitter hop bite, though not overdone. Quite good; alcohol barely noticable. jarspag (600), Los Angeles, California, USA

Had this right after an ’04 Westy 12 . . . you can imagine what my palate was thinking. This beer didn’t stand a chance on this particular day. Still one of the better hopped up belgian tripels I’ve had the chance to try. Nicely carbonated, refreshing, crisp, and nice balance of malts and bitterness. Overall - average. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 11, 2007 the most impessive thing about this beer is the sharpness of the hops. malts are quite straight forward, the of it is spicy and floral. for the hop head. BREWMUSKCLES (1083), New Jersey, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 10, 2007 a good representation of a flemish (belgian) ale. it is strong and has a moderately heavy alcohol in it’s character. everything else follows and that would be citrus in clove. it is bitter but the alcohol and clove moderates. it looks pale and has decent body with a foamy white head. touch of banana and it is yeasty. smells as it tastes. i find it clear and with a moderate finish at best. eeehhh nick76 (2676), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 10, 2007 The aroma is very citrusy, hoppy, yeasty, malty, and peppery. The appearance is golden with a foamy head. The flavor is like the aroma and very bitter. The palate is smooth. Overall it’s good but it does not impress me greatly. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 8, 2007 33 cl. bottle. Cloudy amber/orange with a frothy and bumpy head. Had an initial yeasty, even cheesy aroma, with notes of banana, along with citrusy hops and buttery malt. Biscuit/cookie malt flavor with an assertive hop presence at first. But like I’ve encountered with Chouffe Houblon, the hop sharpness subsides after several minutes, and a melony fruitiness emerges with a bright grapefruity hoppiness at the end. NIce stuff, and only $2.19 per bottle at Eagle Provisions (bargain bonus!). ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 7, 2007 Enjoyed this in the "MIGHTY HAMM’S GOBLET" at the pool with my baby and our friend Monica over July shutdown. Props to Jana for the hook-up - this stuff was like $15 for a 4 pack! Nose of berries & fruit, alcohol & wheat. Pours a sparkling clover honey with blonde highlights. The huge fully lasting fluffy white head leaves nice lace. The brew is rich & complex with moderate acidity and a deep long finish. Overall a superbly balanced offering. The medium body is lively & dry. The finish feels astringent. TheCEO (100), USA
