On tap at Rich O’s gravity head 2007. clear golden with a nice white head. good lacing. the aroma reminds me of a tripple...malty and yeasty with a light dose of hops. light bitter grapefruit hop flavor with a good dose of sweet fruity malt and yeast. bitter dry grapefruit finish. medium to full body. interesing but it wasnt the complex belgian hop bomb i was hoping for....more like a tripple that got a slighly heavy handed dose of hops.

Cork flew right out of the bottle with a loud bang. Pours a clear golden with a slightly tanned head. Smells of pine needles and citrus. Tastes sweet with with flavors of marzipan, flowers and yeast. Quite bitter towards the end. Like a bitter trippel. Medium to full bodied. Very bitter finish that is also a bit floral. Nice initiative to make a hoppy Belgian ale, but it still needs some aroma hops and not just a high bitterness.

Malty aroma with hints of banana and pineapple. Cloudy golden color with a massive dense head. Good lacing. Taste has a slight hop bite. Like a lager with more than the average hops. Sweet finish.

Light hazy golden straw coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of alcohol, yeast, light hops, spice and some wheat which were very strong. Medium-bodied; Spicey, wheatie flavour with some light hops and a bunch of bittering flavours. Aftertaste shows more of the same with yeast and coriander seed noticeable along with a bit more hops. Overall, a good belgie, definitely worth trying if you can find this one. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits in Washington, D.C. on 24-March-2007.

(Bottle) Pours yeast hazy orange amber. Pretty round floral/flowery aroma with hints of herbs and grass. Light caramelly maltiness. Fruity tones of apricots, bananas and some light tones of ripe pears. Hints of marzipan and yeast. Medium hoppy and light fruity flavour. Medium sweet, light bitter with a light to medium afterbitterness. A bit milky. Light alcoholy. Some spicy and peppery notes both in the aroma and flavour. Light dry. Medium body. 7/3/7/3/13. Second try: (Bottle) Pours deep golden with a creamy white head. The aroma is spicy and light earthy with notes of flowers, white pepper, grass, pine, citrus peels and light clove. Bit juicy with tropical hints. I like the spicy blend from the yeast and hops. Almond and bread-like malt. Maybe some cotton candy. Touch of vanilla cookies, fresh vegetables and sweaty cheese. The flavour is light to medium sweet, medium bitter and tiny acidic. Juicy and malty, the only problem is the alcohol that blends badly with the noble afterbitterness. Herbal, spicy, grassy, fruity and almond-ish. The mouthfeel is round and creamy with medium to full carbonation. Spices and alcohol dryness lingers. Medium to full bodied.

This is a great Belgium for Hopheads! It is the perfect combination of a Belgium Blonde and IPA.
