Bullit (504), Zeist, Netherlands Jun 20, 2008 Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma has some citrus hops -much less prominent than I expected- and some faint malts. Flavour is hoppy and fruity. The hops do not fit in this beer. Quite disappointing.
Homer321 (69), Rockledge, Florida, USA Aug 21, 2008 Poured from a corked belgain bottle. I was really expecting more hops after examining the label. nose shows signs of sugars, expected of a belgian. Hops are obviously more than traditional belgains and slightly spicy. Ignoring the label and just drinking this beer, it is one good beer. Eyedrinkale (3102), Beer Town, New York, USA Aug 16, 2008 33 cl bottle poured into a Czechvar glass. Great looking beer with a creamy white head. and lots of lacing. Since I snagged this right off the pallet at the distributor as soon as it came in to the states, it should be super fresh. The aroma makes you think it is. Spicy, peppery hops you usually get from tripels. The flavor is on the sweet side with some banana and candy sugars. This stuff is a whopper, as the alcohol is hardly masked at all. Really yeasty with dried banana and apricots. There’s a really creamy consistency to the body as well, reminding me of PumKing. I haven’t had this beer in a while and I’m going to put this in the rotation. Good stuff. ha1ag (231), Netherlands Aug 13, 2008 Bottled at Pothuiske, Color is hazy, murky pale golden. Head is very thick with a nice nose. Aroma is yeasty but not overdone. Flavour is sweet hops and at the end bitter malty mouthfeel dominates. Lovely! bwbeall812 (26), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA Aug 13, 2008 Bottle. Cloudy blonde with fruity nose of lemons and honey. Great balance of tart marts and spicy hops. An earthy ale. markwise (257), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 11, 2008 Bottle from Oldsmar Tap house. Great beer in the color and the aroma. It poured a cloudy gold with a strong white grapefruit and lemon citrus aroma. Good malt base with bitter citrus/ lemon notes in the finish. It is good; earthy and kind of grassy in the finish.
