Bottle. Dark brown with red tints and a off-white head. Aromas are caramel and chocolate with tea and floral notes. Some lemon with roast malts. Flavours are spritzy lemon with chocolate malts. Some berry fruit with pepper. Sweet mollasses initially yet finishes with alcohol and liquorice. Very good.

Pours amber with patchy and fizzy off-white head, lasting and lined lacing. Aroma is floral hops and yeast (bandaid, earth, barn), butterscotch, malt (meal, straw) and ends with perfumey alcohol. Medium acidic and bitter hop and alcohol burn, medium sweetness, butterscotch and bandaids, cardboard and perfumey hops. Medium bodied and fizzy, dry palate.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is dark amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, caramel), with notes of butterscotch/toffee/diacetyl, paper, apple. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Not very enjoyable.

750 bottle. The beer is medium-dark amber with a trace, white, frothy, mostly and rapidly diminishing head.
I think there’s a problem with the aroma—it’s overwhelmingly butterscotchy and the butterscotch is loaded with diacetyl. I don’t think it’s necessarily unpleasant, but it’s definitely flawed. Otherwise, the aroma is malty with a moderate note of toasted grain, caramel; Hoppy with trace notes of tea, lemon, pine; Yeasty with a trace note of basement.
The flavor is moderately-to-heavily bitter, moderately sweet with a long, warm, lightly bittersweet finish. Unclean aftertaste.
The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively.

Nice pour, a deep chestnut body with red highlights and a dense, creamy tan head that disappears in chunks, lacing heavily as it does so. It’s a very rich, malty sweet nose accented by dark dried fruits, traces of milk chocolate, and a whisp of alcohol. The alcohol has a greater presence in the flavor, but it’s dominated by tastes of chocolate dipped caramel, dried fruits, and a peppery spiciness. The finish is surprizingly clean, leaving only a low alcohol burn. Very nice.

On tap at the Falling Rock. Garnet w/ a creamy tan head. Left some good lace behind. Chewy currant and chocolate overed caramels with a touch of hops in the nose. Very nice rich malt flavor. A bit of cooked cherries with light spice. Med/full body. Well carbonated. Dryer finish. Very good.

Strong, malty, slightly alcoholic aroma. Sweet honey and figs are also in the aroma - it leads me to believe it is very complex. The flavor is pretty good overall too. Smooth and enjoyable bock.

A nice belgian-inspired bock (or bock-inspired belgian) - bright, fire-red color, with thick, off-white lace - aroma of caramelized brown sugar, bread yeast, cherries and light winter spices - soft carbonation, medium bodied - a little tangy up front, with light fruity esters - a nice mingling of malts creates a flavor much like dark chocolate covered caramels - warming alcohol and light spices in the finish - not really a true bock, but who cares?
