This bock pours a deep mahogany color from a cork finish 750ml bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head with strong lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, moderately sweet, some spices, some yeast and some banana. A medium bodied bock. Malts are semi-sweet and somewhat fruit estery. Some earthy and wood qualities as well. Lively carbonation. Taste is more like a weizenbock perhaps. Nice sipping beer. There is a touch of alcohol bite. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with an alcohol bite.

Hazy deep reddish beer with a thin and fast disappearing tan head. Malty sweet aroma with notes of dark fruit, bread and caramel. Malty, yeasty flavor with a light spicyness and a light dry and sweet finish.

Bottled. Served by Hildegard, the brewer. Dark copper beer with a nice beige head. Aroma has sweetness, alcohol, malt and hops, and the flavor is much the same. It has a medium to full body. A nice bock with a belgian twist. (060328)
