color is hazy chestnut brown it pours with a fluffy light tan head. the nose is full with estery aromas and a touch of caramel. palate is rich and full, the finish if spicy. a very belgian sort of beer. more like a belgian bruin than a bock, but i like it anyway!

Dark brown, roasted malts, dark fruits, weird sour bitter finish that killed it. Maybe it was bad?

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Kaisla, Helsinki, on 2008-10-17) Dark brown. Almost clear. Medium sized white quite quickly disappearing head. Malty and a bit sour nose. Full bodied palate with lot of carbonation. Malts, chocolate, bitterness and some sourness in taste. A bit sour and bitter aftertaste. I wonder whether this bottle was contaminated somhow because there was this clear sour flavour.

Sample from Durham WBF. Clear brown pour with a light tan head. Sweet malty, but also notes of dirt and cardboard (oxidation?). Spice and metal. I’m making this sound worse than it was. It was decent, but I think something was wrong with the one I tried.
