Bottle. [thank you, Skortila!]
Pours a plummy dark orange with a great and very creamy small off white head. Lots of lacing. Aroma has plums, raisins and some exotic fruits. Quite oily and full mouthfeel. Flavour is vinious, quite bitter (surprise!), a sweet caramel edge to it as well. Not that terribly complicated and a bit too vinious, but very nice.

Bottle. Very hazy orange/brown brew, nice beige head. Aroma is very plummy and raisony with hints of mango. Flavor is very sweet, but not overwhelmed by the aroma. Flavor is very smooth and a nice tingle on the aftertaste.

Small botle. Not drunk on draft yet. A complex and good tasting beer with some bitterness and also some sweet touches. I love it

Body. Dark tawny brown body with a very thin ring of bubbles. Nose-bready, raw sugar, molasses, unsweet fruit juice. Taste-sweet apple, brown sugar, dough, very hot, alcohol is way up front, prickly CO2, raw and unrefined almost turpentine like, light prune, dirty, cheap watered down whisky, almost woody. The sweetness is kept well in check. The “rawness” is distracting.

750ml bottle. Golden amber colour with a massive fluffy head. Some peppery notes on the nose. Spicy, yeasty notes come through much more strongly, and very agreeably, in the aroma. Fairly tart, crisp mouthfeel that allows this do drink more easily than an 11% beer has any right to. A tasty and pleasant beer, if not as much of a beast as I expected.

750 ml. bottle; production code 02CF; Ledgers label date of 112006. The aroma is yeast and fruit. Probably apple. Maybe some sultanas. Cool orange color with bubbles coming up all through it. A white head that collapsed impressively. Medium bodied, with very mild carbonation. The flavor seems citrus, pale malt, candi, arguably some fruity hop. A little heat is noticeable. The finish is very lightly sweet, a bit yeasty/earthy, and very lightly bitter. It’s a very decent sipper. Good for that desert island where only one ale is allowed.

Orange-amber in colour, very long lasting cream coloured head, excellent lacing. The aroma is very yeasty, lots of apples. good sweetness, orange citrus, some spice. The flavour is of caramel sweetness, orange zest, some apple skin tartness, lots of yeast, some earthy malts. Pretty smooth despite having noticable alcohol. Sweet and dry mouthfeel, medium/large body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes long, sweet, yeasty and warm. Lots of alcohol throughout this one, it never seems to overpower anything. Very creamy and full bodied, nice.

750ml bottle from the <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/new-york target=blank>Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, New York for $9.99.

Amber with off white creamy head. Malty aroma. Very alcoholic flavours. Some dark fruits and banana as well. Some very mild hop bitterness at the end. Hardly any carbonation.
