Bottle at ØLbaren - Thorbjørn wanted a high ABV and cheap beer !! Murkey dark caramel-brown - offwhite head. Yeasty, fruity, candy, licorice, high sweetness, berries. Dry finish. Too simple !!!

Bottle: Pours an orange red amber color with big frothy head. Aroma of fruits and spices. Flavor is malty and fruity and spicy, notes of phenolics. Medium body. Slight hop bitterness. Alsohol pretty well hidden. Not bad.

Deep copper pour, huge bubbly off-white head. Yeasty/bread-like nose with some fruitiness under. Medium bodied palate with less carbonation than the huge head would suggest. Taste is a bit typical for a quad, is somewhat subdued, for a quad in my opinion – hard to taste much beyond the yeasty/fruity flavor.

Oct 2005 rating - Very different for a quad. Beer poured with huge head and nice lacing...a little light colored for a quad. HUGE aroma of honey/bananas. Taste was just the right amount of sweetness with definite honey lemony taste others have noticed. Nothng like the other quads I’ve had, but I liked it.

This Belgian Strong Ale pours a medium amber color from a 33cl bottle. Large sized white foamy head, long lasting lacing. Aroma is malty, sweet, some orange, some cheery and a touch floral. A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Dark fruits, yeast and esters. Lively carbonation. Smooth taste. Finishes with a nice malty sweetness. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Bottle. Light amber/ copper color with a sizable ivory head. Sweet caramel malt aroma with some strawberry-like notes. Sweet and earthy. Somewhat chocolately. Strong fruit notes going into a dusty finish. Very astringent.

11.2oz bottle. Poured clear, fiery medium orange with a short, but well-retained cap of beige head. Aroma picked up a nice array of lighter (apricots and oranges) and darker (plums and figs) fruits with some aged caramel and herbal hoppage.. all very well enhanced by a big alcohol presence. The flavor was slick with alcohol interfering with the predominantly sweet base.. caramel, light and dark fruits, and toffee with moderate herbal and prickly grassy bitterness.. left a tacky, sweet, and very warm finish.. good, but a bit too heavy on the booze factor. Heavily-bodied with some sharper alcohol on the back-end. Good stuff.
