Pours hazy dark orange with a orange-hued tan head. Strong fruity aroma, with some notes of mango, apricot, and orange, as well as some sweet caramel, honey, and toffee. Flavor is mildly sweet and less fruity than expected. Big on the syrupy malts like caramel and toffee, a bit of a woody undertone, just a bit of hops towards the finish, and just a tinge of alcohol but unoffensive. Palate is full and syrupy/creamy with a woody, fruity caramel finish. BelgianBeerGal (1329), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jul 26, 2007 Pours a rich, coppery-amber with minimal clarity and plenty of effervescence; the head is fizzy at first but grows and becomes creamy, full, and off-white with excellent longevity and tight lacing. Nose is very fruity and sweet; notes of overripe peach, muscat grapes, cherries, lots of candi sugar, very rich caramels, graham cracker, and yeast. Flavor is sweet with candi sugar, caramized cherries, apricot, raisin, cinnamon, faint chocolate, and an earthy bitterness there almost keeping from being too sweet. Palate is medium to full, syrupy, very chewy, and lively. Finishes long with some earthy bitterness, candi sugar, and caramelized cherry. This one was ridiculously sweet but the complexities and numerous fruit flavors kept my intrigue. So complex, so rich, and wonderfully fruity. I was very impressed with this quad-esque Belgian and don’t realize why this one has gotten such bad scores. JAF737300 (803), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 8, 2007 330ml bottle. Malty and fruity aroma, sweet and mildly spicy with touches of caramel and spun sugar alongside some faint peach and white grape notes. Medium-dark sunset red color, clear, with a lasting, foamy, sticky head and lacing. Flavor profile is predominantly sweet and richly sugary, this present throughout from beginning to end, and accompanied by lighter quantities of peppery spice, honeyed pear, apricot, orange and golden raisin, and with a faintly medicinal alcohol presence at the finish. Mouthfeel is creamy, smoothly effervescent and warming, body is massively full. More subtle in some aspects, more sledgehammer in others, but elicits a certain degree of intrigue all the same. altonbrownd (1966), Amsterdam, Netherlands
