Color is an amber brown, thin white head. Aroma light alcohol, nutmeg, ginger, corriander, caramel, and toffee. Taste is an alcohol sweetness, nice malty body, light hoppiness in the background, with some toffee, and mild caramel.

Small bottle: the label is different then the one shown here, has a ‘Quadrium Ale’ title on gold bronze background in the upper left corner of the label in place of the number ’12’ in the circle, has a cloudy medium to dark brown pour with lots of floaties and few bubbles but did leave lots of lacing on the glass, big sweet aroma mixed with malt, bread, yellow cake, and caramel fragrances, has a light candy sugar sweet fragrance with a hint of honey, hop spice flower aromas, faint alcohol hiding in the background, sweet malt and honey flavors with a nice balance of bitterness, pale malt taste , bread and caramel flavors, I could sense very little alcohol in the mouth, the alcohol is there but did not bite like some beers which I found nice, this drink was sweet but balanced well with bitterness, there is a hop bite in the sip but more pronounced in the finish and a pepper sense to, this drink is balanced to the sweet side but has more bitterness then some others Belgian strong ale that make me sick of the beer by the time I get to the bottom of the bottle, nice mouth feel, this is a Winter Warmer brew, a sipper drink.

This copper ale poured with a decent off-white head. There is a "strong ale" feel to this brew - malty with a somewhat harsh alcohol taste and a yeast aroma.

Bottle at City Beer Store. Moderately hazy medium brown color, nice chunky khaki head. Big aroma of belgian yeast, sugar, almond, taste has some grapefruit, alcohol heat at the finish. Very nice.

Tap and bottle. Pours with a copper to orange color and a nice head. This quickly turns into one of my favorite Belgians with great flavors of nuts, figs, grapefruit and bread. Aroma is dominated by a typical Belgian yeastiness. If it warms up the alcohol comes through a bit more but is well hidden otherwise. An outstanding brew.

An extreme Belgian beer. This tastes like an American Strong with a Belgian twist. Pour was a cloudy ruby with a puffy white head. Aroma was yeasty and "Belgian-y". Taste was strong malt and alcohol with a syrupy mouthfeel. Fruity aftertaste with an alcohol burn. This is not bad but almost tastes "American" if that makes sense.

On tap at the Happy Gnome. Golden colored beer with a nice cream white head. Sweet raisin in the nose and caramel, raisins and candy sugar in the sweet body.
