Bottle: Deep red copper clear colour, with a nice creamy head. Aroma of toffe, sweet malts and has a nice hopy fruity ending. Flavor has a sparkling dry mouth feeling, nice hopy, and peppery. Som dry hopy mouth feeling, with a bit of dark chocolate in the finish. Thin body, but has a nice carater.thin to medium hopy/peppery finish. Nice beer!

Bottle. Short and quickly disappearing white head. Clear dark brown body. Good looking. Weak fruity barley malt aroma with just a hint of caramel. Flavor is more bitter than expected and relatively tasty, not much caramel though. Low carbonation. Long bitteraftertaste.

Bottle. Brown color with an off-white head. Aroma: nutty & sweet malt, caramel, banana, butter, lightly roasted/burned. Flavor: Toffee, butter, rye bread, lightly roasted/burned, grass, licorice, some metallic notes. Bitter finish. A bit harsh and not very fresh tasting. Re-rated 090716.

omes as Founders English Ale, I think it’s the same? Dark copper with a nice, creamy head. The aroma is hoppy, and initially I get notes of blue cheese and vinyl, but when it warms up just a bit, it’s more gentle and hoppy with hints of caramel. The flavour is fruity, round and the goldings are noticeable. I also find notes of caramel and a light, spicy bitterness. 1883

Nice amber coloured body with a mainly lasting light tan head. Some caramel on the aroma followed by some moderate hop notes. Light earthy hop taste , medium body and low carbonation. Not too much malt characters showing but a fairly easy drinking beer.

500 ml bottle. Lasting coarse off-white head leaving some laces. Body is golden brown with fairly high carbonation. Dry dusty and papery hop aroma along with subdued dry malts and whiffs of green apples. Taste is light malt-sweetness, earthy hops and some vague notes of roast and caramel. Not very mouthfilling. Dry and hoppy finish.

Bottle, october 2007. Yeasty, fruity aroma with some oxidized notes. Clear copper color with a medium, creamy light tan head. Some golden hues. Malty, full bittersweet flavor. Warming with a caramel finnish. Medium mouthfeel with chewy malts and a most dry and salty finnish. Filling. Pleasant, recomforting, inoffensive malty bitter.
