| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 25, 2001 Slightly maltier than the Ruby, with notes of wood, caramel and smoke. The increased maltiness is balanced off by the woody dryness, which makes for a beer which is both bigger and easier to enjoy.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 7, 2002 Its not too bad. perhaps a bit sticky and sweet as mentione by pilsnerrogge. Malty and then hoppy, kind of bittersweet taste, also noticed hints of vanilla in there, has a unique character i think, but not quite to my style.
