What a suprise. The other beers by this brewery were kind of dull. But I like this one. Very fruity aroma. Dark amber color, white frothy head, very good lacing. Sweet, fruity, good hops. Long sweet finish with hops in the background. Well balanced.
bierkoning (4933), La Tropica, Netherlands
May 25, 2007 Brewery tap. Golden color, creamy head. No specific aroma, but a refined malty, buttery flavor. Mariakaakjes (cheap Dutch tea biscuits). I would like to taste more hops, the flowery hoppiness is now restricted to the far background. Nice and easy drinker without too much depth.

May 13, 2006 (on tap) Aroma of some floral hops and a bit fruity. Clear, golden colored with a clean, white head. Taste is sweet, fresh, a little bitter, hoppy and floral-fruity. Watery palate.
