Draught @ SOPP ’09. Golden color, white head. Slightly grassy flavor, fairly bitter. Slightly oily mouthfeel. Medium-light body, medium-light carbonation. Special ingredients, but not a special result.

50 cl bottle. Pours clear golden, thin white head. Aroma is sweet malty and hint of fruits. Flavour is nice and sweet malty with a long finish. Bit watery. Enjoyable and very drinkable. Could not notice any birch though.

Bottled. Golden colour with smal white creamy head. Aroma is grains, some mild notes of bready malts and also some maizelike sweetness. Flavour is bready malts, some grains, mild rubbery notes as well as a quite strong grassyness in the finish.

Draught @ SOPP, Helsinki. Clear golden, tiny firm white head. Nose has grain, metal, dullness, little honey, slight Kievari-notes or is it just the birch? Flavor is lame as hell, dryish malts, little bad woodiness, honey, lots of cardboard. Strong soft carbonation, not too watery body. Maybe everything that’s original and Finnish just does not work in a beer?

500ml Bottle (Thanks FatPhil) - Gold with a white head. Malty and slightly hoppy aroma with corn and an element of sweetness. Malty and slightly sweet taste with hints of apple and hops.

500ml bottle (Eat&Joy)
Rich orange, decent head. Herby, grassy aroma. Crisp palate, pleasant carbonation. Sweet fruity syrupy retronasals, that’s presumably the birch - though they don’t really fit in with the beeriness. Fairly simple clean taste. Simply slightly husky grainy malts, barky hoppiness heading towards a touch of liquorice. Some simple grassy finish. Pretty drinkable drink, good thirst quencher, but definitely quite curious. Good effort, interesting brew.

Bottle 0,5 l. Basic lagery looks, small white head. Nose has faint birch, mainly dryish pilsner maltiness and some hops. Flavor is basically a nice pils with decent bitterness which turns to subtle birchiness in the end. Somewhat harsh in the bitterness, but not necessarily a bad thing.

0.5 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Golden color. Malty, grainy, flowery and grassy aroma with notes of corn. Malty, honeiysh flavor with herbal-woody finish. Slightly woody and tea like palate. There is delicate but obvious grassy-flowery-herbal twist which I guess come from birch. Integeresting experiment!
