Bottle. Warm golden-amber with a fine white head. Sweet, fruit/apricot?, biscuit, vanilla, soft mouthfeel. Found it to be decent yet dull.

Sample at DougShoemaker’s 2005 December gathering - bottle courtesy of DougShoemaker. 2002 vintage. Dark golden-amber with a small white head. Aroma is quite yeasty and citric, with some dandilion notes. Flavour is flowery with some orangey notes. Seemed a little stale to me - showing it’s age, I guess. Still OK, though.

2002. Aroma of sweet malt, citrus and yeast, amber, pours a small custard head. Very subdued malt flavour, some yeast and a slight orange taste. Light bodied, dry and sweet. Fair.

Bottle at ’December at DougShoemaker’s 2005’ -- courtesy of DougShoemaker. Vintage 2002. Pours a cloudy orange-copper with a large lasting fluffy white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of yeast, caramel, fruit and spices. Sweet flavour of yeast and fruit -- tastes a little flat. Medium bodied. Enjoyable.

2002 bottle at Doug’s, Christmas ’05. Orange pour, big bubbly white head. Strong yeast and sour aroma. Strong yeast taste. Musty lemon and spice as well. Almost semi-sweet. Decent, didn’t do a lot for me though.

bottle. 2002. murky orange-golden with a medium white head. aroma has a nice tripel profile - apple skin, dusty pear, and soft earthy tones. flavour has mostly yeast with a light lemon-tartness, apple, and spice. light warm alcohol in the finish. pretty good.

2002 bottle. Medium amber color, hazy, fuller off white head. Solid aroma, Belgian yeast, plum, apple, light spice. Flavor is pleasant, sweet, yeasty, some light bitterness. Slightly astringent, medium body, fairly dry. Nice beer. Thanks Doug.

Thanks to Doug for this one. Dirty/cloudy copper body with a fluffy off-white head. Orange cough syrup, yeasty, corriander and some spices I can’t place in the nose. Much more reserved than the aroma suggests - orange, yeast, quite sweet. A little lemon/bitter in the finish with some toasty honey malt.
