| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 16, 2005 (Bottled) Hazy dark amber color with a large, foamy head. Slightly vinous, perfumy aroma of lots of berries and quite strong alcohol presence. Bitter, a bit plasticky flavor of malt, sweet berries, anise and caramel. Quite a bit smoother with the yeast poured in. Medium-bodied, slicky, slightly foamy-carbonated palate. Wrestles in a totally different series than the excellent Val-Dieu Winter.
