Creamy. The winner by drinkability in a 4-way playoff of x-mas beers on March 25. On sweet side, but just couldn’t get enough of it. Malt magic fresh from Belgium. jeffc666 (1897), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 12, 2005 Bottle is marked Sept 2003. Mostly clear dark amber body topped bu a frothy off-white head. The aroma exhibits some light oxidation in the form of wet cardboard. Behind that there is a fruity aroma, pears, bananas, generally sweet. The flavor is less harmed by oxidation than the aroma, sweet and fruity, toffee, and caramel. Pretty plain-jane. Medium body with light alcohol warmth. Decent but would be better fresher. joergen (8638), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2005 Awesome aroma of hevay caramel. its like the first blast of a sweet caramel candy after its unwrapped. amazing. the taste was at first hevay caramel and wine. it soon backed off and left a very light sweet flavor and not much else. incredibly smoothe and drinkable, but lacking enough depth to surpass the incredible smell.
