| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 31, 2008 From 33cl bottle. Hazy amber body with a puffy white head that leaves a good lacing. Good nose of sweet spices with clove, cinnamon, orange peel and a twist of roasted malts. First approach in mouth is sweet but without mellowness. Lovely flavors coming in the middle palate of dried fruits and spices, reminds me of a christmas cake, followed by a slightly bitter finish. Smooth body with a low carbonation delivers all its flavors even a bit cold. Very good Christmas beer, but not a great one. goozen (1102), Leiden, Netherlands
