33 cl bottle. High carbonation, lots of bubbles. Citrus - lime and lemon, and some spices. Nice, but not great.

330 ml bottle. Copper coloured with huge amounts of bubbles rising to the surface causing a thick fine-laced white head. Dried black pepper aroma and a little burnt flour. Meaty aroma. Prickling sensation when it enters the mouth. Quite dry and full of carbonation. Fruity and malty sweet flavours when a nice balancing hop bitterness. The hops stop quite abruptly.

Nice dark belgian ale. Full bodied and good belgian caracter, but could have benefited from a drier body.

150ml at Belgobaren in Stockholm (part of their christmas and winter beer festival). Long lasting foam over an unclear, orange rosied body. Sweet malty aroma. Tart fruits in flavour and a bit yeasty towards a dry lingering ending. Medium carbonation (03.12.2006).

33cL bottle. Pours golden with white head. Clear smell of hops. Taste of hops, yeast and alcohol when around 5 - 6 C, carbonated - goes into a soft mouthfull with many elements added to the hops as temp rise. Cinnamon and caramel is pronounced in addition to sweetness and fruity taste.

Oct 2005 vintage. Murky gold, lasting, thick off-white goldish head. Spicy sweet belgian lemon aroma. Kind of a weak hard watery belgian yeast with sugary spicy esters. Pretty good and balanced belgian.

10/05 bottle share by Blake. Hazy orange bronze body with heavy carbonation supporting a lovely soft off-white head. The strong aroma gives off caramel sweetness and a menagerie of fermenting fruit. The flavor is drier than expected - starts off with toasty grain and pear skin wrapping up with cinnamon and pepper. Throughout there’s orange and apricot. The mouthfeel is a soft with bubbly carbonation.

Oct. 2005 vintage 750 ml. The beer pours a nice glowing clear copper/amber body with a tall foamy white head and nice lacing. The aroma is starfruit, apples, pears, light vanilla and yeasty toffee. The flavor has some starfruit, lightly tart malt, some woody vanilla, light spicy yeasts. The palate is slick but substantial with a light tartness and light dryness.
