Bottle. Nice by American standards, mediocre by Belgian ones. Nice aroma of apple, spice, and grain -- but flavor did not really transcend beer as many Belgians do. Go for a Troubadour Blonde instead.

Bottled. Cloudy-ish gold with a thin white head. Standard nose with a bit of vanilla and citrus. Taste is less than impressive - candy sweetness with a touch of spice. Just ok.

(33 cl bottle at The Rover) Shady apricot mixed with orange color, small white head. Sweet almond paste and alcohol scent, a bit grainy and metal as well. Sweet fruity and Belgian ale taste, mixed with some metal. Thin spritzy mouthfeel. Sweet aftertaste, low bitterness.

(from notes). Bottle. Nose is pilsnery malts and some yeast. Pours a bubbly, cloudy yellow with rapid carbonation. SOUR! Thin watery palate, but heavily carbonated. Too sour and thin for me.

Bottle from Party Town, KY. Poured hazy amber color with a huge frothy white head that was lasting and produced good lacing. Average sweet citrus aroma. Light to medium body. Moderate spicy sweet flavor with medium sweet finish of short duration. Very refreshing.

(Bottle) Pours hazy orange. Sweet fruity aroma with some yeast. Undertones of of honey-ish sugary malt. fainted roses, citrus and a touch of grass. Fruity flavour with yeast and a soft sourish sting. Hints of allmond paste in both the finishing flavour and in the nose. Small to medium body.

Purchased at Michael’s Deli sometime last year. BB Date of April, 2005...oh, brother. Here we go again. Appears a hazy light gold with a 1 finger, dense white head of fluff. Lots of scattered lace is left around the glass. Smell is of yeasty bread, sugary citrus, vanilla, candy orange slices, along with an earthiness that seems to fit well. Taste is of the mentioned aromas with a decent mix of the yeasty, sugary notes that are enjoyable. Moutheel is light medium bodied, balanced, sweet up front, light yeastiness with vanilla cream mixed over the tongue leading to a dry finish that’s very pleasant.
