Citrus-fruity, yeasty and malty aroma. Soft sweet flavour, the high carbonation complemented with strong wheaty taste brings this brew close to a Witbeer. This one lacks taste and is not very remarkable. maeib (4775), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 27, 2005 Bottled. A blonde beer with a slim white head. The aroma is sweet perfumed and floral. The taste starts over sweet then mellows a little. I was a bit disappointed at the depth of character of this beer, feeling it wasn’t grown up. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 26, 2005 Pours canary with frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, yeast, some barnyard. Tastes citrusy, with hops, yeast, coriander, and some spices. Somewhat light palate, with uninspiring complexity or finish. A lightweight among the Belgian heavyweights. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 13, 2005 (Bottled) Hazy orange color with a medium, lacy head. White-wineous aroma with sweetish honey and lemon. Sweetish but also sour, somewhat fruity flavor with yeast and dryish, bitter hops towards the finish. Medium-bodied palate with foamy carbonation. Plain, but reasonably refreshing and balanced blonde without any serious faults. jefcon (1009), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 12, 2005 Banana yellow and opaque, with a half-inch head and good lacing. Aromas of sourdough and spice, with a slight hoppy background. Tasting offers an initial sweetness, followed by woodsy notes of wild yeast and hops. Light finish. A smooth beer that is overwhelmed by its carbonation, so low marks on palate. Overall, a somewhat medieval beer with a unique profile. The yeast stands out. LoveCaissa (873), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 12, 2005 Sampled on tap at "Den Tatoverede Enke", Copenhagen. Allegedly the only malts used for this beer is plain "pilsener malt", so here you can really appreciate the two radically different yeasts. Definitely more interesting than a pilsener, but nonetheless a fairly simple Belgian blonde. PorterPounder (3148), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 10, 2005 750 ml bottle - Habersham Beverage Warehouse, Savannah, Ga. Pours a murky light golden with a thick, frothy, sticky white head and lacing. Aroma is floral fresh and lemony. Flavor has some faint bubblegum notes with an underlying lemony essence. Some spices make there way in there as well - coriander perhaps. Very refreshing after woring in the yared. Mouthfeel is slighlty spritzy, but not overdone. Overall, very pleasant.
