Dark brown, almost black with a moderate head, good lacing. The aroma has fruit, plum, raisin, sweetness and caramel. The flavour is sweet with notes of roasted malt, dried fruit (plum, raisin), candy sugar and a very light citrussy finish. I liked this one.

Bottle. Light tan and frothy head. Slightly cloudy brown color. Aroma was light chocolate, toasted, fruity, berries and caramel. Medium bodied with a light sweet flavor. Light sweet finish. Was expecting a bit more from this “Dubbel”. Still it was very drinkable.

(33 cl bottle at The Rover, Göteborg) Hazy dark murky muddy brown color, tan head. Dominating sour and lactic acid mixed with milk scent. Spicy and strawberry yogurt taste, mixed with yeast. Smooth mouthfeel. Spicy aftertaste, low bitterness.

In the bomber bottle at the 2006 Crescent Moon Extreme Beerfest. Pours a dark amber to light brown with a thin off white head. Has an acidic sour aroma. Mild chocolate sweetness blends into a tart acidic, but mildly so, finish. A potential training beer for those who want to someday try a Flemish sour? I like it.

Cloudy amber color. Smell of slight alcohol and grapes. The alcohol smell doesn’t come through in the taste. Sweet fruity pleasent taste. Dry but with a decent body. I enjoyed it.
