Fruits, like prunes, and some nuts. A little too fizzy for a dark fruit cake . Still very refreshing. Not a mind-blowing beer. Very textbook for the style, I feel. blank (998), Washington, Washington DC, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 13, 2006 Bottled. Dark ruby red colour, with sediments floating around. Head is big, fluffy and brownish and leaves lace. Aroma is barnyard and alcohol. Slight hints of malts. Very boring aroma in fact. Flavour is metallic, yeasty and some alcohol. Slight nuttyness also when it gets a bit warmer. Quite barnyardish and earthy in the finish and aftertaste. Surprisingly thin palate. Not too bad, just boring. frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada
