Bottled. Dark ruby red colour, with sediments floating around. Head is big, fluffy and brownish and leaves lace. Aroma is barnyard and alcohol. Slight hints of malts. Very boring aroma in fact. Flavour is metallic, yeasty and some alcohol. Slight nuttyness also when it gets a bit warmer. Quite barnyardish and earthy in the finish and aftertaste. Surprisingly thin palate. Not too bad, just boring.

Reddish brown with a thick tan head. Malty aroma, some alcohol. The flavour is not as rich as I had expected, however, malty with a slight tart edge, some alcohol some belgian yeast flavours. An average dubbel.

Sampled from 750. amber with a medium off white head. Aroma is tart, lightly sour fruits, malt, brown sugar. Interesting aroma for a dubbel, if it’s intentional. Taste is dark malts, some fruit, some mineral water notes (which I always like) with a light chocolate and dark fruit finish.

Bottled. Reddish brown color. Malty aroma with nuts, toffee, toasted bread, smoke and some sourness. Malty, sweetish, bready and distinctively nutty flavor. Bread and acetic acid in the finish.

Sweet aroma of plum, raisin, coriander, flowers, yeast, alcohol. Dark brown colour, creamy beige head, particles. Medium bodied beer with a creamy texture, with a sweet flavour of plum, raisin, earth, berries, spices and a more malty finish.

Bottle from Capital Ale House. Brown and chunky when poured. Aroma was sweet, slightly fruity with a yeast twang to it. Goes down smooth, but taste is filled with dark fruits and a hint of caramel. I like dubbels, but this one had way too much of a wine taste to it.... Overall, it’s not bad, but I don’t think I’ll be drinking it again.
