Dark brown with small head. Nice lace. Malty, liquid candy!, soft and rounde. Very nice but perhaps not that complex.

Light licorice aroma with some spices. Brown color, beige head, good lace. Sweet, some licorice in the flavor as well, little fruity, lots of carbonation, smooth.

Amber color with a white head. The taste is yeasty and sweet. Has some notes of coffee or caramel.

A nice brew that pours a deep mahogany with little frothy head. Tastes of yeast, dough, and a little spice.

Very dark color; giant, rocky head. Sweet malt aroma, chemicals, cookies. Original flavor for an Abbey Dubbel: malt, dry roasted malt, light coffee, light liquorice. The final is sweeter and simple, just caramel and liquorice, not enough hop.

OK head, hazy orange/brown body. Nose of roasted malt, nut and some alcohol. Mild sweet flavor of nut, chocolate and malt. Soft and fluffy.

Sampled at From The Vine beer tasting Jan 9th, 2004: It's not often that I get to try two beers in a row with the word "Dieu" in them. The beer is a dark reddish-brown with a medium thick and somewhat creamy white head. Decent lacing. The aroma consists of faint nuts and malt. Medium bodied and bubbly, with lots of malt and alcohol at first, then accompanied by hops and raisin flavors shortly after. The finish is mostly fruity alcohol with a touch of sourness. Not too bad.

Orange brown color with a respectable ecru colored head. Raw brown sugar and grassy aroma. Slight floral hops later in the nose. Sweet malt and and hopshack flavors. Mild yeast undertones. Fairly rich in flavor, helps make-up for the poor aroma. Light nuttiness in the finish.
