(Bottled, at the Helsinki Beer Festival 2004) Dark brown/amber color, small head. Caramel-malty, syrupy, sourish aroma. Malty, sweetish, fruity flavor with hint of licorice and beans. Quite light-bodied palate for a dubbel.

bomber from Total wine. MMM good ol belgian dubbels. So easy to drink! Brown pour, tan head. Aroma is sweet with dried fruit, candi sugar, syrup, honey and caramel. Flavor is full of fruit, raisins, vanilla, caramel, oak and is very good.

(Scrawled on the back of another unopened bank statement- try copy and pasting off that!).."Liquorice pour, ruby edges, tan collar becoming a slick. Metal, then striking sesame-edged nose with stouty roast touches, candi sugar, liquorice, banana esters. Soapy sweetness, bags more sesame, chiccory bitterness, liquorice, roasted barley. Some alcohol burn, mellow chocolate finish. Smooth distinctive sipper, sweetish, nutty and soapy with a dab of stout, Belgian-style. Soft and slick".

A dark red/brown colored beer, with a thick foamy beige head. The aroma of caramel malt, with fruits like berries and hops. The taste of satisfied malt, with fruits like raisins and some prunes. The aftertaste is smooth and slight bitter.

Rich dark brown color with a great head retention. Aromas of vanilla and dark fruits, a bit fig and raisins. Similar taste, very good.

33 cl, bb 19/10/07. Mahogany with a half-inch of creamy, enduring foam. Beautiful icing covers the glass. Aromas of dark bread, chocolate, raisin, nutmeg, vanilla, spicy rum cake and a hint of cherry. Similar complex of flavors are a tad less sweet than the aroma due to some nice stout-like coffee and char tones for bitterness. Medium-heavy body is smooth and a touch to the dry side.
