Pour is lovely dark brown with a thick tan head that leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is that of roasted malts, caramel, candy sugar, alcohol and earthy hops. Flavor is sweet and alcoholic but decent. Palate is a bit boozy and a little thin but solid. Overall its a solid beer. Alex420 (47), Rome, Italy

Tapped terribly. Ultragassy.
The smell of the pub is strong, but you get some faint belgium Abbey yeast aromas. Thank god for the alcohol content.
Unfortunately, althought the publican just put a new KEG on and is really sure of his beer, oxidation has taken place during the long hot summer spent in a hot warehouse, thank god for the alcohol that just saves it. Although watery and spent, you still get some fruit notes ranging from peach to apricot, but still to faint to recall the the belgium beer drank there. Lyncham (55), Ohio, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Oct 20, 2009 Very nice complexity. The beer has a nice sweet aroma of roasted malts, and spices. The beer tastes like it smell but with a bit of a chocolate flavor. The beet has a great alcohol content to go with the spices that would make it a good winter warmer probstk (1027), Nepean, Ontario, Canada
