From C&C 750. Pours a very dark mahogany with white head. Nose of dark grapes, dark breads, yeasty. Flavor follows, lightly bitter and thick. Palate is thick and creamy. Awesome.

On tap at the Beyerd. Hints of licorice and vanilla in the aroma. Not a strong aroma but nice. Cloudy, very dark brown color, creamy, beige head, very nice lace. Very sweet, fruity sour, light bitter, vanilla, plum and raisin. Very smooth mouthfeel.

The aroma has yeast, dark fruit, basement aromas, brown sugar and cookies. The appearance is amber brown with a nice sized head. The taste has bubble gum, caramel, and dark fruit with a strong alcohol presents. The palate is thin but smooth. Overall it’s good.

Starts off with a strong head and aroma is quite fruity with citrus and tropical overtones. taste is highly malty, like a deep dark Sangria. Flavors are plentiful for a fruity Christmas dessert

Thin head which disappeared quite quickly. Little surprised there. Decent carboantion but not as much as expected. Rich raisin and toffee aroma with some grapes and caramel. Sweet smelling. Color is a very dark port brown. Kind of flat in the mouth. Sweet and very smooth. Lacking in depth of flavor. 10.5% alcohol is not really tatsed but noticed by the after effects. Little sweet malts and caramel again. Finish is pretty clean and sweet. A decent belgian strong ale but lacks alot of depth and character. No real yeast and spice notes.

Bottle Watch out for the cork! As soon as I untwisted the wire, the cork poped off like a bottle of champagne! Dark pour with almost no head. Light aroma at first that grows as the beer warms in your hand. Pretty sweet aroma, warming. Very sweet warming flavor as well. Sharp, but smooth. Alcohol isn’t covered well.

Deep dark brown beer with almost no head. The aroma reveals already some of the sweetness. It has a slight hint of apples. It tastes rather sweet and reminds me of rum. Some alcohol taste at the end. A nice winter beer, but I know better ones.

Dark but not black ale, extreme cork pop but surprisingly no gushing. Pours easy, slight lacey head, interesting nose of....grape soda! HUGE. On the palate, nice and boozy, some rum notes, plus the grape thing from the nozum. I like this alot and will buy all I can!
