| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 28, 2005 Tap at the Toronado. Dark brown with a nice off white color head. Flavors of fruit (sour apple) as well as yeast. Very smooth on the palate and a long lasting finish. Typical Belgian style. I could not make out much of an aroma though, however the intense flavors made up for it.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 23, 2009 Tap @ Publick House, Brookline MA. Pours a dark brown with a lacy off-white head. Aroma is dark fruit, toasted malt, yeast, and chocolate. Taste is dark ftuit with malt and chocolate notes with a prune/date finish at the end. The beer remains smooth and drinkable with an ease that belies the alcohol content. Well-done. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 7, 2007 Evening all. This is my first ever rate. And a good way to start. Lovely beer. And that’s as technical as my rates go. It was my first beer of the night but that has nothing to do with it’s high rate. Or the fact that this was my first doesn’t affect the rate. It’s that good. It smells sweeter than a clean baby. It has the appearance of a dirty baby. Or if your dirty babies are a different colour than the one’s I’m used to, it’s colour is like the inside of Merlin’s sleeve. Fucking nice tasting above all. Beer is for drinking, when there is stuff this good about why waste my time rating crap? I might only rate this one beer, if it was a desert island beer I wouldn’t be sorry. Great beer ratebeer. xproudfoot (729), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA

Garnet tinged brown with lil’ tight eggshell head. Has the "it" belgian characteristics, coriander, peel, and sugar, all fine and good, but not especially distinctive. Palate is medium to full with only modest booziness. Tejas (702), Dallas, Texas, USA
