| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 17, 2005 yellow pour, oaky sweet flavor and smell. malty at times. easy drinking, not too offensive, not really any hop presence in this one. not bad at all, a good beer to perhaps intrigue people into liking good beers. but for someone that has been drinking good beers for a while, this might not do it for you. not bad but not the best. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 19, 2005 I really enjoyed this one. It poured hazy gold with a 2-finger white head. Aroma of hopcit, coriander, Brett, and orange zest. Tastes initially fruity, with mid-palate hopcit and floral spices. Finishing notes of apple. Complex, lively palate, with great complexity and well hidden alcohol. Achieves a semi-dry cidery element as it warms. Sten (289), Westerlo, Belgium
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 17, 2005 Cloudy golden colour with a white head. The aroma and taste are malty and sweet. Very soft with not much body and complexity. You would not say this has 9 alcohol%. But certainly not a bad beer. (Bottle 33cl) Cornfield (4966), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 12, 2005 Pale gold and somewhat hazy, this sported a fizzy head for a while that devolved into a halo-film cover on the drink. The yeasty aroma also had scents of tropical fruits and a gentle floral hopping. Fairly light-bodied and slightly spritzy, it delivers a sweet fruity taste with white and black peppers, a light hop bitterness, and a touch of alcohol. Very nice drink.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 11, 2005 Hazy golden-orange color with a tight, creamy white head. Loads of ripe fruit, lemon, yeast and mild spice make up an attractive aroma. Pleasingly smooth, full-bodied palate. Initially very sweet, fruity/banana-like flavors dominate. Finishes with a bit of warm peppery spiciness with a touch of tart lemon and yeast. Very classy and well done! TBone (6844), Pori, Finland

Hazy orange, floating yeast particles, beautiful creamy white head, lace. Sweet, yeasty and fruity banana nose. Medium to full bodied. Citrusy, yeasty, fruity with a bit cardboard. Finishing spicey bitter with some fruity sweetness. Another very tasty Val-Dieu. Otje (668), Leiden, Netherlands
