Slightly sweet and a bite of alcohol in the finish, but otherwise uneventful. Not bad, however, and I recommend trying it at least once.

Poured golden with a nice fluffy white head...smelled of banana, clove, pepper, yeast, alcohol...taste was a little thinner than I’d like...again bananas, pepper, cloves...alcohol appears again in the finish...not bad, but not outstanding...

Bottle Conditioned cork said 12/04,Chalice,58f white meringue like head beautiful light gold,slight yeast and alcohol aroma , starts with a slight sweetness but has a astringent bite in the finish.Its not very balanced the alcohol is very evident

Slight cloudy gold with thick white head. Coriander, vanilla, and lime come to the nose. Med-Heavey weight with sweet mid and lingering finish. Vanilla, roasted flavors, orange, and lots of sweetness throughout. Great triple!

Right now, I’m in desperate need of relief from an excrutiating night at work, and this bottle just so happens to wait in the fridge. Let’s hope it does the trick! Untwisting the wire cage, almost there, and POP!, goes the cork with no effort or urging at all! Someone could have gotten hurt that way! It’s a foamy gusher, too, the suds filling the glass immediately, and spilling out of the sides, soI’ll take time to admire the appearance, while it dwindles down. Hazy golden color, gorgeous, lace-weaving head, crystalline, pure white, fluffy as they come. Aroma: light and angelic, a sublime sweetness, distinct candi sugar, a little fruity, spicy, ethereal and ultimately uplifting. Now, to taste: very sweet, candy-ish, with fruit notes, peach, apricot, and orange, in attendance as well. Light in body, but long in flavor, with the sweetness profoundly impacted upon the palate, stays on board and tickles the senses for a few sweet seconds, then lightly drifts off. Flavor gets lemony, more spicy, prickly and sticky, near the end of the first glass, but let’s not forget, this is a full 750ml bottle I’m exploring. I consider what uses and occasions are ideal for this brew, and they can only be times when you need to bring up the happiness in your life, (like now, for weak and weary me), or when you’re already happy, but could stand a little extra joy, what the hell. It’s here in this bottle, just watch the cork, and get ready to slurp up some foam!

Nice ocean spray of a head atop a sea of light copper goodness. Aroma of apple cider and a slight yeasty musty quality. Light flavor for the style but very well constructed. Apple and cheese complexity with a crisp champagne bite. Brie rind notes. This is a light version of the style, but I really enjoy it. Good, smooth, easy drinking. One of the most beautiful beverages to gaze upon.

Hazy yellow colour with solid lasting head. Aroma is malty with some spices and fruit. Flavor is fruity with the lemon very clear.

Very soapy-clean aroma. One of the more substantial heads I’ve seen on a beer, perhaps corresponding with the cork-missile that should prompt a label warning! Flavor is very fruity, mostly banana with some strawberry and tart lime elements. Aftertaste is sort of like a Long Island iced tea. Though it has the tornadic bubbly appearance of a great tripel, too much of it "goes to the head" - the drink itself has bubbles but loses a bit of carbonation before it gets to the mouth (still quite adequate though). If someone was to offer me a Val-Dieu Tripel, hey, I won’t turn it down. And at 9%, I’ll drink the last couple or three ounces from the bottle itself despite the yeast!
