Bottle. Light malt aroma of straw, light lemon for the hops, moderate leather and musty for the yeast, with strong background notes of apple and allspice. Head is small, fizzy, white with fair lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is hazy amber/tan. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderate to heavily acidic, then the long finish is lightly sweet, acidc and bitter. Palate is medium, watery yet a little creamy and has a carbonation between lively and fizzy. A very good, well balanced Tripel. Opens up nicely as it warms.

Pours a hazy gold with a bubbly white head. Smells od dry maly, some phenolic hints, spicy, peppery. Tastes of perfumy hops, molasses, some sugary hints. Finishes grassy and dry.

Hazy cider colored pour with a small white head. Apples and grapes on the nose. Light fruits like pears and stale apples in the flavor. Alcohol is masked well.

750ml Bottle at Novare Res. Pours a golden blonde color with a big white foamy head. Aroma is appley, but very subtle. It’s almost wine like in aroma similar to a nice white chilled wine. Flavor is very nice, fruity with hints of sugary apples, ripe fruits, and earthy hoppiness. Keep in mind the hops are very very very muted. It’s a nice triple, probably one of my favorites to date. This brewery has yet to really disappoint.

bottle into tulip glass. aroma is mostly alcohol. taste is almost all alcohol and sugar, with some overripe banana, apple and pear. alcohol burn finish thats too astringent. big dissapointment. im wondering if i got a hold of a bad batch, or maybe it was old? there was a good bit of dust on the bottles.

Bottle (330ml). Via trade with Boutip. Bright brassy gold, hazy, packed full of really tiny white floaties, smallish white head. Tangy aroma - apple, pear and peach sweet fruitiness, with plenty of yeast and crushed green grapes. The taste is a nice balance - yeast, pear, some light floral bitterness, and moderate alcohol - thick and sugary, only mildly carbonated, all malt up-front, with drying alcohol and spicy yeast balancing it in the end - perhaps a little too sweet, but enjoyable.

Best Before: 09/09/10 Appearance: Pours a hazy, golden body with a tall, foamy, white head. Smell: Interesting aroma smelling of a blend of white wine, green apples, yeast, and a simple pilsner. Taste: Pilsner maltiness with a slight bready character. Pop of sugariness alongside green apples, a touch of alcohol, and a sour yeastiness. Dash of white wine. Mild spicy hops and bitterness. Finishes dry with a lingering sour fruitiness. Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Moderate carbonation. Slight stickiness to the mouthfeel. Drinkability: Passable. By no means by favorite tripel, I would definitely prefer a Chimay over this.

Bottle at home. Nice tripel. Caramel, sweet, syrupy taste. Orangy, citrusy body. Taste of citrus, honey, marsepin and bubble gum even. Prickly and pleasant finish.
