BeerBelcher (709), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Feb 24, 2008 I thought this beer to be a nice example of a Belgian Triple, and thought it to be good, but not pee-your-pants exciting. It offers a nice and very pleasant degree of fruit and spice flavors that are extremely drinkable but not extremely potent.
It poured (from an 11.2 oz bottle) a hazy orange with an abundant bright white head. Aroma was fruity and spicy, with citrus (lemon or orange) dominating the bouquet. Flavor was also fruity, but more complexed and balanced with a nice degree of maltiness and with some additional tarter fruitiness (plum/prune or raisin) to balance out the sweeter citrus notes I detected in the aroma. The 9% ABV was unknown to me until I read this site - expected for a tripel but in no way evident from taste and smell. Mouthfeel was pleasant, and I found this beer extremely drinkable.
I would definitely recommend this beer.
I had a bottle at The Room in Miami Beach, FL.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty and yeasty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to lively. (070608) porterhouse (916), Alna, Maine, USA Aug 11, 2008 (330 ml bottle from 1828 Vintage House) Pours cloudy gold/amber with about a finger and a half of whitish head. Aroma of caramel nougat, fruit and vanilla - very nice. Mouthfeel medium-full, soft, lightly sticky - very nice. Full, webby sheets of lacing. Flavor is sweet and fruity with notes of caramel, nut and vanilla. Light-medium bittter hop presence. A subtle spice/pepper note builds as it warms and carries through to a lingering peppery aftertaste. ABV well-integrated providing a nice warming effect. Nice tripel from Belgium. Bungalo22 (257), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA Aug 9, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow with a small head and very nice lacing. I had this in a tulip glass and let it warm a bit which brought out the aroma much better. It smells fruity (especially citrus like). It is thin, as triples can be, but a bit too thin. It is slightly dry and bitter but no over whelming. It is also sweet and that sticks on your tongue a bit just like honey wood. This beer is a tough one. Just when I want to bury it I find a redeeming quality. daknole (644), Plantation, Florida, USA Jul 27, 2008 A pretty good triple. My notes didnt list the color or the size of the hed. Aromas are strong, fruity and yeasty. Flavor is a tad hot with dried fruits, vanilla, and yeast. Maybe some banana bread too. Mouthfeel was nice on this one. Good, but not the best ever...for sure.
