PorterPounder (2852), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Feb 19, 2004 Updated: Nov 22, 2004 Rerate The cork nearly blew a hole in my ceiling and the foam would just not die. Flavor about the same but the foam was very distracting and took away from the enjoyment of this. Original 3.6 Not as tasty as some Tripels I have had - but I enjoy it’s "drinkability". Cloudy light golden appearance, moderate soft white head with lots of bubble action. Yeasty aroma, not unpleasant; flavor has a lot of phenols, with some banana essence to it. Bubblegum comes through in the back end. One of the more drinkable Tripels, but not as flavorful as most.
Tripplebrew (285), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Oct 4, 2008 Pours a hazy golden/honey yellow with thick, creamy white head. Aroma is caramel, sugar and spicey (clove). Flavor is caramel, yeast and notes of fruit. Body is creamy with high carbonation. WisconsinBeer (346), St Paul, Minnesota, USA Oct 4, 2008 Bottle. Hazy yellow color, noticeable sediment. Decent foamy head. Flavor is pretty standard tripel, bread like notes, some ripe fruits, and Belgian yeast. Medium bodied, somewhat grainy on the palate. Finish is lingering and dry.
